He's Golden 04:30
Lay Me down by the sea Wake me up from my dream Oh waters rose to my knees Can't you see, I'm in deep He's Golden and I'm a silver gleam He's golden, when you hold him… Does he think of holding me? Oh here he comes bringing the wind with him And once again, I'm too far in But it's not my turn, and his heart still burns For you… for you He's Golden and I'm a silver gleam He's golden, when you hold him… Does he think of holding me… of me? And it's true, that I may not get though I may not get through to you And it's true, that we all fall down We all fall down… He's Golden and I'm a silver gleam He's golden, when you hold him… Does he think of holding me… of me?

It's one o'clock in the morning Yet I'm far away from sleep Outside the rain is softly pouring Yet it's not enough to comfort me I grab my phone and then start dialing The only number that comes to mind And just before I hang up sulking I hear your voice stream from the other line So don't say your sorry If you think you're right We've been through this story Much more than once tonight But I'm in too deep and I can't keep I'm in too deep and I can keep… keep up Oh and you couldn't sound ore charming Your words flow through me like rose-red wine And now I'm feeling far less sober And I forgot why we began to fight So don't say your sorry If you think you're right We've been through this story Much more than once tonight But I'm in too deep and I can't keep I'm in too deep and I can keep… keep up If I could learn to pay attention just a little more i could see what your intentions had in store So don't say your sorry If you think you're right We've been through this story Much more than once tonight But I'm in too deep and I can't keep I'm in too deep and I can keep… keep up

Watching and waiting For the sunshine to rise, and show his face Such a lovely face to always hide Listen, won't you listen To the voices trapped in the rain The fear you're afraid of headache and pain But who is to blame? Swim across the ocean Sun-kissed lotion burns your eyes Dig your grave a bit deeper If you leave her, say goodbye And don't lie, at least not tonight And who would have thought the fables that taught You to dream… would be Rolled up in lies and covered with knives Forcing beliefs With skin soft and fair and black curly hair It's hard to believe That without a plan or a strong handsome man She could ever succeed…. but I must believe Swim across the ocean Sun-kissed lotion burns your eyes Dig your grave a bit deeper If you leave her, say goodbye And don't lie, at least not tonight
4.
Your love is an illusion that haunts me when I sleep It was swallowed by an ocean and then plunged 20,000 leagues… From my reach… my reach You avoid human emotions like you'd escape from swarming bees You'd race from the commotion 'til your hands were an arm's length… From my reach… my reach We're slowly tumbling, then in an instant Your heart is torn and tossed and twisted We're slowly tumbling, then in an instant You pull me close, then you push for distance You run on empty promises, and fill them up with lies You'd dangle my last thread of hope if it'd keep you just outside Of my reach… my reach We're slowly tumbling, then in an instant Your heart is torn and tossed and twisted We're slowly tumbling, then in an instant You pull me close, then you push for distance And I'll never understand I'll never understand I'll never understand But I don't suppose I am

Move On 05:04
From the corner of your room My voice keeps calling out to you It echoes inside this empty tomb I'll try to speak up, but I've assumed Your memory became A silent and colorless arcade But when the silence finally fades Your voice won't be here, I'm afraid And my problem is… I can't move on Yeah my problem is… I can't move on I took our picture from its frame And tossed it inside the fire place And with a smile forced on my face I'll try to forget your warm embrace Your memory became The aftermath of a masquerade Covered in shine and masks of suede Forever I'll fall for this charade And my problem is… I can't move on Yeah my problem is… I can't move on Your memory became Part of an afterthought, I'd say

Tree Song 05:40
He's just like a tree with no limbs, motionless down to the stem Though the wind may blow or the earth may quake Nothing can stand in his way But I'm more like paper-mache, I'm weightless and easily swayed I'm not built to last when he powerful grasp Pulls on what's already frayed And he'll bend and he'll twist till I break He'll pull till I'm stretched out of shape And just when I thought he was done, pinning me under his thumb He made me believe he was going to leave But sat back and rolled up his sleeves And he'll bend and he'll twist till I break He'll pull till I'm stretched out of shape And after he picked me apart, I thought he'd be willing to start Letting me in underneath his thick skin But still he refuses to bend And he'll bend and he'll twist till I break He'll pull till I'm stretched out of shape His resistance to bend for my sake, is repetitious, a rotation of chains But unlike lead I bend out of shape, and he'll bend while he twists Till I'm stretched out of shape… And he'll bend and he'll twist till I break He'll pull till I'm stretched out of shape

Disappointed 04:53
Sometimes I wonder what he's doing now Has he finally moved on or breaking back down Sometimes I wonder what he thinks of me Cause sometimes I find myself wishing that he… Was not disappointed Knowing when he'd wake up, I'd be missing Well, if he's disappointed He can find me, or go back to sleep Sometimes I reckon he wants to believe It wasn't his fault, and I walked out with ease And sometimes I reckon I should've fallen apart Cause sometimes I find myself wishing his heart... Was not disappointed Knowing when he'd wake up, I'd be missing Well, if he's disappointed He can find me, or go back to sleep Go back to sleep Go back to sleep And can you believe, he'd pretend he's asleep So I wouldn't know, he's still searching for me And can you believe, after all that he's done He likes to remind himself, that I am the one… Who's not disappointed Knowing when he wakes up, I'll be missing Well, if he's disappointed He can find me, or go back to sleep Well go back to sleep Go back to sleep Well if you're disappointed You can find me, or go back to sleep

On the way over, in the carriage ride We hit a bump veiled from the snow Father was sober, he's canary's dry But couldn't block that final blow Oh how many extraordinary dreams we leave behind From the many loads we carry, we push them far aside Brother you're older, but your sun won't shine Like it's a bulb collecting dust Haven't you told her you weren't satisfied Why should you eat around the crust? Oh how many extraordinary dreams we leave behind From the many loads we carry, we push them far aside With my eyes closed, I'll stop and count to three And before you know, I'll be counting sheep Cause you're not suppose, You're not suppose You're not suppose to be afraid to dream Oh how many extraordinary dreams we leave behind From the many loads we carry, we push them far aside

about

This is an album that has been years in the making. After having finished recording it my last semester of college, I wasn't able to create a physical copy until the fall of 2013.

I thought of the title "Sleep Walkers" because I noticed that I had subconsciously mentioned the words "wake", "sleep" or "dream" in almost every song of the album. I also noticed that most of the lyrics alluded to a juxtaposition between two realities: What I envisioned was there versus what was really there -but couldn't see. So the only way I could imagine a person capable of living two realities at once was through the eyes of a sleepwalker: As they walk, they are able to see both dimensions; Their bodies react to the world around them while their minds react to the world within. Which, as a result, often leads to difficulties distinguishing between what's real and what's not in either reality.
And so with this being said, I hope you listen to and enjoy my latest album "Sleep Walkers."

about

Cylia Queen Cincinnati, Ohio

Cylia Queen is part of a rare breed of songwriters whose music is a genuine extension of self. She displays an aged confidence, a sort of feminine power that many young women do not acquire until much later in life. It is from that refreshing strength that Queen extends so effectively into her art and performance on her instruments; her voice and the piano. ... more
